โItโs not a Woman Play. Is it?โ
Sex sells. Women sell. Dead women sell even more.
As the cameras turn on, the world of entertainment is alight with stories of dance, deception, and Jack the Ripper.
Georgie Dettmerโs (‘Are You Watching?’, Royal Court) provocative new play interrogates our fascination with the exploitation of women’s bodies, asking who gets to tell these stories, who profits from them, and what happens when audiences can’t look away.
Directed by Sammy J Glover with razor-sharp observation and deeply unsettling honesty, Wanton holds a mirror up to the stories we consume and the culture that keeps selling them.
