The Comedy of Errors

by William Shakespeare
14 - 17 August 2013

Ticket Prices:
£10

Two peoples faces, side by side, but one is upside down.

Stiff-upper-lipped Antipholus blunders through the city looking for his long-lost twin in the hedonistic ex-pat community of Malaga. Meanwhile, his father has until sunset to cobble together a ransom if he wants to avoid execution. Amid this confusion family ties hang by a thread and mistaken identity leads to mayhem.

Set in a sun-soaked world of sex and self-indulgence, this vibrant new production shines a fresh light on the darker side of Shakespeare’s funniest comedy.

This is the 15th year of the annual Oxford University International Shakespeare Tour which takes place with the support and guidance of Thelma Holt and the Cameron Mackintosh Drama Fund. The tour showcases some of the best young actors and directors in the country, and has previously introduced such renowned actors as Rory Kinnear and Rosamund Pike to the professional stage.
