This clever and witty reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic promises to take you on all those adventures you wanted to go on when you were a kid, exploring the madness of love and all those other adult emotions through the eyes of a younger generation.
With fairies using their magic to cause mayhem, couples forgetting who it is they actually love and a man who wakes up needing a good shave (spoilers: he’s been turned into a donkey), this hilarious adaptation threatens to end in tears with all the ensuing mayhem (not great for comedy).
Set in 1905, Shakespeare’s funniest tale of mischief, music and (shotgun) marriages gets a brand-new 90 minute revival, blending modern English with the original text. It’s the mashup of the Chuckle Brothers and The Railway Children (and Shakespeare of course!) that you never knew you needed…
