Little Pieces of Gold presents
Little Pieces of Gold
Little Pieces of Gold is ten years old!
And to celebrate ten years of producing new writing, they’re bringing ALL WOMXN to the stage. It’s another night of brilliant short plays but this time dedicated to plays written by women, for all-women casts.
Little Pieces of Gold is renowned for championing new writing from playwrights of all backgrounds and is committed to equal representation of both actors and writers. The script selection process encourages this by operating a widely publicised open submission call that receives almost 3,000 short plays a year. This means that people from all walks of life, those without access to the theatre industry, or those who have not had the privilege of a university or drama school training, get the opportunity to have their writing produced. It also means that our playwrights are writing roles that resonate deeply with a wide cross- section of women today.
“Little Pieces of Gold is an event to add to the calendar.” Once A Week Theatre
“The evening showcased powerful, female-led stories covering everything from race, to power, to infidelity and love and was an excellent showcase of four extremely talented writers.” London Pub Theatres
