Following a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010, Belt Up Theatre bring their hidden gem of new writing to Southwark Playhouse.
Alexander Wright’s The Boy James tells a story of playful innocence and cruel experience woven around the life of Peter Pan author, J.M. Barrie. A dark but beautiful tale of one bright eyed boy’s startled awakening to the harsh realities of adulthood. Play with him, and take his hand as you lead him back to Neverland.
“Just been knocked out by “The Boy James” Belt Up’s interactive show about J. M. Barrie at The Southwark Playhouse. Still drying my eyes.”
‘A startling and painful journey from innocence to experience… the performances are persuasive… the production has a penetrating menacholy’
