★★★★ ‘a luxuriance in the sensuousness of language’ Financial Times

‘An unforgettable 80 minutes’ Critics’ Choice, Time Out

The first world premiere in three years by Time Out, Evening Standard and Critics Circle Award-winner Philip Ridley, Tender Napalm is an explosive and poetic exploration of love in the face of catastrophe.

‘Ridley is a visionary‘ – Rolling Stone

Ridley’s first new play since the highly acclaimed Piranha Heights, TENDER NAPALM is a high-concept two hander that weaves a compelling theatrical tapestry to rewrite the language of love.

‘The master of modern myth’ – Guardian

The production reunites the playwright with the team behind the hugely successful professional premiere of his BNP-based Moonfleece, in London and on UK tour in the run-up to the 2010 general election. Ridley’s first new play since 2008′s explosive Piranha Heights,  this new premiere follows an extraordinary 18 months for the playwright. His play The Fastest Clock In The Universe received a sell-out revival starring Jaime Winstone for the Hampstead Theatre’s 50th anniversary in autumn 2009, while his acclaimed third feature film Heartless (starring Jim Sturgess) was recently released in America.

4 Stars ‘Splendid… darkly fantastical and psychologically acute’ - Independent (on Moonfleece)

4 Stars‘A powerful broadside’ - WhatsOnStage (on Moonfleece)
